What is the Importance of Art in Child Development?  There are many facets but one is Motor Skills.   As the children go through the motions involved in making art, such as holding a paintbrush or scribbling with a crayon, are essential to the growth of fine motor skills in young children.

Art is the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination through thought, emotions and desires. As we look at the importance of Art, we find recording history, sciences and major events throughout the world are made daily. The visual form, such as painting or sculpture, produces works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.
