Head’s Welcome

Headmaster's Welcome

Dear Parents,

The overriding aim of our school curriculum is to cater for the whole person.  Gateway Primary does not subscribe to the view sometimes held that it should be responsible for the child’s academic development alone.  True education will encompass the Mind, the Body and the Spirit.  As parents, you have entrusted your children to us to receive an education.  If the job is to be done properly, then all three aspects mentioned above need to be taken into account.  It follows that if a child is excluded from any of the relevant facets of school life the school cannot really take the responsibility for his/her education.

So at Gateway Primary, we actively focus on all three aspects of education. We aim at academic excellence, we have a vibrant co-curricular programme catering to a wide variety of sporting disciplines and a number of cultural and community-minded clubs. We also teach from a Biblical World view and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in every area of school life.

Gus Hulley
